Plot:Set in the Hill Country of Texas during the late 1880s, the Texas Rangers find themselves up against one of their own. Shane Stocksteal turns from Ranger to outlaw by committing murder and fraud to reach his dream of political power. In the process Captain John MacIntyre is killed and his daughter, Kayla, runs for her life to find help. Before she can reach safety she is kidnapped and beaten by Stocksteal’s men. But just before she is taken she sends her horse running free in the hope that someone will find the letter for help in her saddlebags. Jake Landers, a farmer with aspirations of being something more, is working in his field when he sees a lone horse grazing in the tall grass. He investigates, and when he finds the letter he is moved to help Kayla due to his strong conviction to always do what’s right. This takes Jake from farmer to lawman and puts him face-to-face with both danger and his dreams of following in his father’s footsteps.

Plot: Ghajini is the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film Ghajini to be directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The film is inspired by the critically acclaimed film Memento by Christopher Nolan, with the common theme of the protagonist suffering from anterograde amnesia or short term memory loss and seeking revenge for his wife’s murder. Ghajini will feature Aamir Khan, Asin Thottumkal and Jiah Khan in lead roles. A. R. Rahman will be scoring the music for the film whilst Ravi K. Chandran and Anthony handle cinematography and editing of the film respectively. The film began shooting in May 2007, with songs having been shot in the Deadpan Desert of Namibia and in Cape Town, South Africa. The movie is notable for Aamir Khan having shaven his head bald. A 3d game is reportedly being produced, the release of which will coincide with the audio release. The film is regarded as the most awaited Bollywood movie of 2008.

India’s Sachin Tendulkar surpassed Brian Lara’s Test match run aggregate to become the new world record holder for the highest scorer in Test history on Friday. Tendulkar, playing his 152nd match after his debut in 1989, at the start of the first day of the second Test against Australia at Mohali required 15 runs to go past West Indies great Lara’s 11,953 runs, which he made in 131 games.
